Area creates a new delivery structure as part of their Excellence in delivery programme

As part of our journey towards “Excellence in delivery” and to support our ambitious growth plans, Area has created a new delivery structure within the Design & Build teams across Area - London, Landlord, Regions and Corporate Accounts.

Lee Marple, Operations Director who is behind the “Excellence in Delivery” programme commented: “The primary aim of this re-structure is to improve the quality, strength and consistency of our delivery of projects as we grow as a business, as well as creating development opportunities for our people.”

The re-structure introduces the new role of Senior Contracts Manager (SCM) to provide support to the Construction Directors, Simon Pearson and Paul Ames. The SCM’s will be responsible for the delivery of multiple projects at any one time, in turn being supported by Contracts Managers and Construction Managers reporting directly to them. The SCM will also work closely alongside the pre-contracts teams, aiming to ensure that the projects are handed over seamlessly to the contracts teams.

The restructure has resulted in a number of individuals being promoted or recruited to fulfil the Senior Contracts Manager roles:

London D&B

  • Chris Brown has been promoted to Senior Contracts Manager for London D&B
  • Denys Mazur has been recruited as Senior Contracts Manager for London D&B and will be starting on 21st August

Landlord D&B

  • Ben Martin has been promoted to Senior Contracts Manager for Landlord D&B

Regions D&B

  • Simon Tilley has been promoted to Senior Contracts Manager for Regions D&B
  • Phil Jones has been recruited as Senior Contracts Manager for Regions D&B and joined on 14th August

Corporate Accounts

  • Richard Saunders has been promoted to Senior Contracts Manager for Corporate Accounts

“We would like to congratulate Chris, Ben, Simon and Richard on their promotion and welcome Denys and Phil to Area. The creation of this structure is another excellent example of the Group striving to develop and retain our staff, whilst responding to our client’s needs.”

As part of the new structure, Area are also looking to expand the role of their construction managers, giving them more responsibility and control over the delivery of their projects, ensuring the highest standard of delivery for clients.
