Group Head of Marketing

Location: Egham/London

The role’s primary purpose is to define, implement and report on the annual marketing strategy for Fourfront Group’s brands: Area, 360, Sketch, as well as the marketing coordination for global
partnership, The United Workplace. You will be responsible for defining and implementing the annual marketing strategy in line with agreed budgets. Responsibilities typically include market research, competitor analysis, campaign project management, content creation, event management and sponsorship, identifying and entering relevant awards, branding, social media strategy, supporting client’s project marketing and comms, as well as working with the digital team to successfully implement the strategy across all online channels. While having to devise and oversee strategies for 360 and Sketch, the role will also include the management of the day to day marketing output for the Group’s biggest brand, Area.

Main responsibilities

  • Digital – working alongside the digital networkers to implement digital strategy, including websites, social media, social selling and automation, eDM and landing pages
  • Event management – in current circumstances this could be online events such as webinars, but moving forward could include seminars, roundtables/roundtable dinners etc.
  • Client marketing - work with Area’s clients to help promote their projects pre, during and post project. This includes joint case study videos, press releases/coverage/press tours, blogging, photography, events, white papers and social media coverage
  • Branding – be the overall brand guardian to ensure strategy is delivered in line with brand guidelines, as well as make adjustments to brand identity to align with any changes to the business vision.
  • Reporting – produce and present monthly reporting to the Board, and constantly review current marketing strategy to revise and refine activity to ensure maximum lead generation vs budget spend.
  • Support and nurture the team to ensure both individual skill and personal development, as well as ensure workload is being delivered on time and to an excellent standard

Professional Skills required

  • A solid marketing background with at least two years spent in a similar position
  • A demonstrable track record of delivering integrated marketing campaigns
  • Experience of managing a team
  • Strong copywriting skills
  • Degree educated (ideally Marketing or Comms)
  • Experience working within design and build industry, or the built environment would be advantageous
  • A Masters degree or CIM qualification would be advantageous but not essential
