Sketch requires an enthusiastic Junior Project Manager to join the Logistics Delivery Team with a desire to develop their career and industry knowledge. 

This role is focused within London and Thames Valley but the role will occasionally require travel throughout the UK to meet Project and Client Requirements.

Main responsibilities

This client facing role is principally centred around building and managing client relationships. Working closely with the Sketch Team, the Junior PM role will be educated in the planning and delivery of the furniture packages that form the large part of the Sketch workload. Key tasks include checking off and managing orders, building the installation programme and delivering the project so to maximise efficiency whilst continually enhancing the reputation of Sketch. The role will require weekend work from time to time and the Project Manager should be prepared to travel within the UK to ensure the smooth delivery of a project, should it dictate.

Key Accountabilities

  • Assist the account manager / salesperson with the development of a project.
  • Assisting with managing the client relationship throughout the delivery phase.
  • Understanding financial control & having accountability for the project delivery.
  • To produce & refine the project installation plans & programme.
  • Conduct site surveys to ensure both sketch & the stakeholders plans are effective & efficient.
  • Liaise with suppliers to ensure delivery timelines are correctly incorporated within the project programme & are clearly communicated.
  • To allocate manpower & vehicle resources in a manner to maximise efficiencies.
  • Inform & agree with key stakeholders the sketch install plans & keep them informed throughout the delivery phase.
  • To ensure internal product / resource databases & team planning tools are accurate at all times following the receipt of a project.
  • Task & manage the site installation team throughout the delivery phase & the promote sketch standards in the delivery of excellence.
  • Sign-off & take necessary actions to close projects with the client in a timely manner.

  • Demonstrate commercial furniture experience (not necessarily site based)
  • Some project management experience would be an advantage
  • Adaptive & willing to learn
  • Ability to lead others

  • Strong attention to detail & admin management.
  • Ability to use own judgement & prioritise a complex workload
  • Full driving licence
  • Computer literate in MS word / excel 
  • Articulate communicator
