Partnership, a leading provider of non-standard annuities, turned to design and fit-out specialists Area Sq and project managers Dron & Wright, to aid in consolidating two offices in to one at their new location in Heron Tower. The new workspace brings teams together and maximises staff wellbeing, connectivity and collaboration as well as upholds the standards of Heron Tower’s BREEAM ‘Excellent’ rating.
A standout feature of this project is the three-floor spiral staircase that acts as not only a focal point but improves vertical circulation across teams. This stunning piece of design sits among soft seating breakout areas and wi-fi touch down points. A staff-steering group were consulted for the design of a kitchen breakout area. The self-contained village gives staff a great sense of ownership and pride and provides a place to escape to within the workspace.
Another core aspect of this project was sustainability and Ska Rating Gold was proudly achieved. Energy efficient lighting & HVAC was installed to reduce energy usage and costs by up to 31%. 95% of waste produced during the project was diverted from landfill and good levels of thermal comfort and reduced VOCs via enhanced ventilation were achieved throughout.
Sister company Sketch Studios complimented the versatile open plan layout with a furniture solution that provides flexibility. Selected furniture suppliers have great green credentials and offer long-term warranties to match their pieces durability. They also provided move management, which saw 450 staff relocated from 2 offices in 3 phases
